In 1996, Mike embarked on his career journey with M.G. Pestridge Construction & Maintenance right here in the enchanting Cotswolds. Securing this traditional apprenticeship was a dream come true. As he began, it became evident that he was well-suited for the role, not only in terms of physical prowess but also in his capacity to grasp complex challenges.
2001

In 2001, Mike took a leap of faith and ventured out on his own. It marked the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey, and he wasted no time in immersing himself in every facet of running a business. This endeavor was a crash course in both the challenges and the joys of entrepreneurship.
Working closely alongside his father, who was an aircraft engineer, Mike couldn't help but be inspired by his father's unwavering dedication, precision, and skill—qualities he honed while working on the iconic Concorde. It's a legacy that's been passed down through the generations, and it continues to shape the way Mike approaches every project and business endeavor.

In 2013, a significant chapter in our family business unfolded as Sarah, who is now Mike's wife, joined our ranks. Sarah brought with her a unique background in IT and banking, but she embarked on a remarkable journey of retraining herself as an interior designer, specializing in space planning and 3D visualizations. Her addition to the team was nothing short of transformative.
Sarah's role extended beyond her design expertise. She became an integral part of our operation, lending her skills to assist with project management and ensuring the seamless day-to-day functioning of the business.
