Property Maintenance Apprentice
The Property Maintenance Apprentice is responsible for the preservation, repair, and maintenance of listed, historic and contemporary buildings. This includes regular and emergency repairs and ensuring the building meets regulations. The Property Maintenance Apprentice must have a working knowledge of building construction, materials, and techniques used in the repair of traditional and contemporary buildings.
Work towards the successful completion of the Apprenticeship standard Property Maintenance Operative
Level 2 including end point assessment
To diligently learn and achieve high standards in practical work based activities and at College
Full driving licence - or working towards
Work experience in a related organisation or field or experience of a working environment is beneficial but not essential
Experience or knowledge of construction / building trades beneficial but not essential
Experience in a customer focused or related role beneficial but not essential
Ability to communicate clearly
Able to assess and apply numerical calculations
Able to visualize plans / spatial awareness
Able to understand written and verbal instruction
Manual dexterity
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the heritage and contemporary sectors. You will be working alongside highly and multi skilled builders leading the way in conservation and contemporary construction.
You will be learning many trades including, groundwork, form-work, restoration and renovation, lime-works, pointing, decorating, plastering, roofing, maintenance of exteriors and interiors, painting, drainage, and general building work.
You will be physically fit and able to undertake these works and be able to demonstrate an adaptable attitude to work and all duties given to you, above all you must have a can do attitude and an eye for detail.
